PS 0270 - ICT in Primary Science & Maths
Week 1
Aims : This course aims to develop student teacher's ability to use information and communications technology, ICT, to enhance learning in primary school science and mathematics. Students will learn about ICT and their applications in primary science and mathematics education. They will learn to develop ICT activities and instructional materials that enable primary children to express ideas and solve problems in science and mathematics.
Mode of Instruction : Students will be required to carry out a small scale ICT project in primary school science and/or mathematics. There will be group as well as individual efforts required in the projects.
Assessment : Continuous assessment will be based on group and individual projects on primary school science and mathematics teaching and learning, including the development and try out of ICT activities and materials in schools.
Course work : 60% & Examination : 40%
